Project 4: Performing with Principles

Performance 1:

In this performance, I chose to emphasize how I use my hair as a security blanket. I did this to stress the fact that I can no longer hide behind my hair, due to the fact I am losing it from health issues.

Performance 2:

When I go to the grocery store I do not notice size, or shape of the object I am buying instead I am more concerned if its on my grocery list. By arranging different grocery items I create unity and variety, in that, the colors of items in each picture are the same but the shape, item, and sizes are different.

Performance 3:

Our life is full of many different food options. To minimize both my choices of food and combinations, I created a unified eating experience by only eating yellow for a day.

Performance 4:

This performance is meant to represent how life is a constant balancing act. By walking as if I was on a tightrope I am demonstrating the use of balance.

Performance 5:

I performed this piece to represent how often we compare each other in everyday life. By comparing the dimension of my arm, both width and length with others, I am measuring the proportion of  the size, shape, line and skin tone with the other persons.
